The Defender is our most economical whole house water treatment system. It features a 6-cycle Noryl control valve and a durable, corrosion resistant fiberglass tank. It accurately measures the salt dosage, and uses minimal water.As in our other whole house treatment systems, the Defender incorporates MicroSilver Bacteriostasis technology, based on a water purification system developed by NASA for use in the Space Shuttle Orbiters program. Our SilverShield HYgene media uses microscopic particles of silver, embedded into the media, to both inhibit the growth of bacteria as well as reduce the taste and odor of chlorine and chloramine that may be found in untreated water.

Our conditioner is superior to other more conventional media, removing excess minerals and softening your water. It uses less water and salt than many other units on the market, giving you more efficient regeneration cycles. Our high-capacity S-579 monospheric resin makes use of uniformly sized beads for great efficiency and higher flow rates. Iron and turbidity are removed, as well as excess minerals that are found in hard water.

The final feature of the Defender system is a clarifier. Silica gravel is used to polish the water and make it exceptionally clear. Laundry will be brighter, and you’ll use less detergent. Appliances won’t become clogged with mineral build-up and will function more efficiently.
